Liverpool have finally ended their 30-year wait for a 19th top-flight title after Manchester City's 2-1 defeat at Chelsea on Thursday night. The club last won a first division title back in the 1989-90 season and so there was huge celebrations when they achieved it once again.
They ended their 3 decade wait for the premier league title after Manchester City failed to defeat Chelsea in a 2-1 loss on the 25th Of June. This moves Liverpool closer to the record held by Manchester United of 20 top tier titles after picking up the champions league title last season also.
Having still seven games to play after Man City dropped pointed at Stamford Bridge, LUFC still aim to break records such as highest points in a season and the highest wins within a season as under Jürgen Klopp, they have yet to lose a game apart from the shocking 3-0 loss to Watford back in February.
